Outlook email account setup (IMAP)

In order to get your email account setup on Outlook (2019 and later) on Windows 10/11, you will need the following information.

  1. Username (Usually the email address)
  2. Password (The password you created or has been supplied by your hosting provider)
  3. Incoming server: mail.your-domain (Replace your-domain with your actual domain)
  4. Outgoing server: mail.your-domain (Replace your-domain with your actual domain)
  5. Incoming port: 993
  6. Outgoing port: 465
  7. SSL on both incoming and outgoing

All you need to do now, is enter this information in the correct fields in the Outlook (2019 and later) application. Below is a step by step guide on doing just that.

Step 1

Click on File in the right hand top corner.

Step 2

Click on “Add Account”.

Step 3

Enter your email address.

Step 4

Enter your password, then click on “Connect”

If this does not work, you might have to do an advanced setup. You will need to click the “Let me set up my account manually” box and then click connect again. This should bring up an area where you can enter your details manually. You should use the following:

  1. Username (Usually the email address)
